When you look up the brand name AEG you will find that the company is actually known as AEG Electrolux. But let’s see whether they offer a large range of washing machines, or whether they have just focused on a small group of them.
What types of washing machines do they make?
They have a relatively small range, but with that said it will appeal to a lot of people as the range covers a lot of features. Most of the models are of the freestanding design, but a couple of them are built to be integrated and have a kitchen door fitted to the front of them.
One thing that stands out about all the machines is that they have what AEG call ‘Silent System’ or ‘Silent System Plus’. As the name would suggest this means they are very quiet to operate, which is definitely a plus in many households. It means you can happily run the machine at night if you want to, without it being very noisy.
The machines all have a different load capacity, but they tend on the whole to be bigger than the average load capacity. This is a definite selling point, especially if you have a large family. You could end up doing fewer washes with an AEG washing machine.
Most of the washing machines are white in appearance, but they also provide one or two of a different colour. They have a stainless steel model as well as a black one if you want something very different.

Yes – when you arrive on the home page you will see that they have gone for the dark sleek look. The wording here is minimal but you will easily be able to find your way through to where the washing machines are displayed.
Just look for the products tab at the top of the page. But before you click on it wait for the options to appear below it. Once they do, hover over the word laundry and wait for washing machines to appear next to it. Move your mouse over and click on that to enter the right section.
Each machine has a number of details listed next to it, and you can compare two or more machines by clicking the ‘compare’ link. This puts the selected items in a list on the right of the page; a clickable ‘compare products’ link will then appear for you to use. You can add or remove products as you wish.
Select the picture of the machine you want to find out more about and you will see a page dedicated to that washing machine. Make sure you enlarge the image – the picture is very good! You can move closer to a small degree as well – just click on the picture itself in the new window.
The product details appear in a bullet pointed list, and you will notice that some of them are underlined. You can click on these to expand that point and read more about that feature. When you select another link to expand, the original one will collapse down again.
